Festivals are the most effective way for communities to flaunt their cultural expressions. Besides, festivals are of economic value to the communities in which they are hosted. As a result, they constitute an economic activity whose importance to the economic development of the host communities is immense.
Iran has one of the oldest, richest and most influential art heritages in the world which encompasses many disciplines including literature, music, dance, architecture, painting, weaving, pottery, calligraphy, metalworking and stonemasonry.

The Tehran Design Festival first edition of the fashion is to reflect the values of traditional handicrafts in a modern way in today’s fashion design. Through its activities, the movement supports the preservation of local handicrafts, the broadening of the concept of heritage and its deeper observation, and the development of sustainable fashion design.
Graphic design has, as a field of application, different areas of knowledge focused on any visual communication system. For example, it can be applied in advertising strategies, or it can also be applied in the aviation worldor space exploration. In this sense, in some countries graphic design is related as only associated with the production of sketches and drawings, this is incorrect, since visual communication is a small part of a huge range of types and classes where it can be applied.
Due to its interdisciplinary nature, graphic design can be performed in different areas of application: branding, technical and artistic drawing, signage, photography, image and video editing, 3D modeling, animation, programming, among other fields.
The festival will combine graphic design, art direction, photography, film, storytelling, branding, strategy, advertising, type design, animation, illustration, art and different forms of creative expression, including new disciplines as they emerge. This was always the case but this will now be communicated more publicly, most significantly through the name change.
